Bailey’s biggest belief in her teaching is that dance is meant for all people — no matter body, ability, or talent. Dance should be accessible to all who desire to dance, and Bailey strives to provide safe, quality instruction as a teacher.
Bailey took Jazz, Tap, and Ballet Pedagogy at Oklahoma City University. Through these classes, she has learned the importance of classes following a logical progression of skills. Teaching a dance class should never be guesswork on what to teach that particular day — each class Bailey teaches has a clear learning objective and has been carefully constructed to keep the dancers learning and growing.
Additionally, through pedagogy and anatomy classes, Bailey has learned safe dance practices. Bailey is passionate about ensuring every dancer can dance as long as they wish to — free from unnecessary injury due to unsafe dance practices.
Overall, Bailey’s classes are warm, welcoming, motivating, and inclusive. Bailey’s classroom is always a safe space for dancers to try new things and make mistakes.
